Explanation:

A circular track with diameter = 200 is coverd by an athelete in 40 secs means 40secs is the time in which the athelete completes 1 round.

The distance covered by an athelete= circumfernce of the circular path

Answer-:

Distance covered by the athlete in 40sec = 2 pie r

= 2* 22/7*200/2

= 2*22/7*100

=6.28*100

=628m

Distance covered in 2min 20sec= 140sec*628=87920=87km920m

To calculate the displacement you have to divide this by 40 secs to calculate the number of rounds and then u can find the displacement if the number of round is in whole like- 2,3,4 then the displacement is zero but if it is like - 2and half then the displacement will be equal to the diameter

Hope this solution helped u
