Given : x^2 + 2 \sqrt{2}x - 6

= \ \textgreater \  x^2 - 3 \sqrt{2} x -  \sqrt{2} x - 6

= \ \textgreater \  x(x + 3 \sqrt{2} ) -  \sqrt{2}(x + 3 \sqrt{2})

= \ \textgreater \  (x -  \sqrt{2})(x + 3 \sqrt{2})

Hope this helps!

Heya !!!

X² + 2✓2X - 6

We try to split 6 into two parts such that their sum or subtraction will be 2✓2 and Their product will be 6.

Clearly,

3✓2 - ✓2 = 2✓2

And,

3✓2 × ✓2 = 6

So,

X² + 2✓2X + 6

=> X² + 3✓2X - ✓2X + 6

=> X ( X + 3✓2) - ✓2 ( X + 3✓2)

=> ( X + 3✓2) ( X - ✓2)
