dividing by long division method we get,

x - 1 ) 5x² - 4x + 3 (5x + 1

5x² - 5x

x + 3

x - 1

  • Quotient = (5x + 1) .

hence, when p(x) is divided by g(x) , we get (5x + 1) as quotient and 4 as remainder.
