area of rect ABCD=18*10=>180cm sqr
area of triangle FED=1/2*6*10
area of triangle FED=30cm sqr
area of triangle BCE=1/2*10*8
=>40cm sqr
area of shaded portion =180-(30+40 )
=>180-70=>110cm sqt

a) area of ractangle = l*b
= 18*10 cm
= 180 cm sq
area of two triangles = 1/2 *6*10+1/2 *10*8
= 30 + 40cm
= 70 cm
area of shaded portion = 180 - 70
= 110 cm square ans
b) area of square = s*s
= 20*20 cm sq
= 400 cm sq
area of three triangles = 1/2 *20*10 sq +1/2 *10*10
= 200+50
= 250 cm sq
area of shaded portion =400 -250 cm sq
= 150 cm sq ans
