Step-by-step explanation:

23. As DR and DS are tangent to the circle, so DR=DS

similarly, As = AP ; BP= BQ ; CR= CQ

Hence, (AS+DS)+(CQ+BQ) =(CR+DR)+. +(AP+BP)

so, AB+ CD = AD + BC ( proved)

22. As, ∆AML ~ ∆ABC

so, AM/AB = AL/AC or, AM/AB - 1 = AL//AC -1 or, AM/BM = AL/CL ....(1)

similarly , from ∆ ANL and ∆ACD we can say , AN/ND = AL /Cl.....(2)

comparing eqn. 1 and 2 we will get,. AM/MB = AN / ND ( proved)
