The greatest six-digit number is 999999. The previous five numbers in descending order are 999998, 999997, 999996, 999995 and 999994.

This is the smallest eight digit number 10000000. Next numbers will be it's immediate whole number successors. 10000000<10000001<10000002<10000003<1000004<10000005. One crore<One crore and one<One crore and two<One crore and three<One crore and four<One crore and five.
