This analysis of radiation emnating out of a radioactive material is carried out by placing the radioactive material in the lead block by drilling hole in it . radioactive radiations enter the vaccum chamber after emerging out from this hole. and after passing from these parallel plates these radiations strike a photographic plate. they fall at three different points instead of impinging at one point.this is due to potential difference between the plates.
and this experiment shows that these rays are not alike those bends towards negative plate are +vely charged and called alpha particles.
those bends towards positive plate have -ve charge and were beta particles .
and thoe radiations that go straight without bending are neutal called gamma rays.
