Option (D):

a^2 + ab + b^2

Explanation:

Given Equation is a(x - a^2) - b(x - b^2) = 0

= > ax - a^3 - bx - b^3 = 0

= > ax - bx = -b^3 + a^3

= > x(a - b) = -b^3 + a^3

= \ \textgreater \   x = \frac{-b^3}{a - b} +  \frac{a^3}{a - b}

= \ \textgreater \  x =  \frac{-b^3 + a^3}{a - b}

= \ \textgreater \  x =  \frac{(a - b)(a^2 + ab + b^2)}{(a - b)}

= \ \textgreater \  x = a^2 + ab + b^2

Hope this helps!
