Given:-

  • AB and CD intersect at O.
  • x+y+z = 240°

To Find:-

  • Value of Angles x,y,z & u.

Solution:-

→ x = y [Vertically Opposite Angles]

→\;{\sf{x+y+z = 240°}}

→\;{\sf{x+x+z = 240°}}

→\;{\sf{2x+z = 240°}}

→\;{\sf{z = 240°-2x}}

→ z = u [Vertically Opposite Angles]

→\;{\sf{x+y+z+u = 360°}} [Sum of Angles at a point is 360°]

→\;{\sf{x+x+240°-2x+240°-2x = 360°}}

→\;{\sf{2x+480°-4x = 360°}}

→\;{\sf{-2x = 360°-480°}}

→\;{\sf{x = \cancel{\frac{-120°}{-2}}}}

→\;{\sf{x = 60°}}

x = y = 60°

→\;{\sf{z = 240°-2(60°)}}

→\;{\sf{z = 240°-120°}}

→\;{\sf{z = 120°}}

z = u = 120°

  • x = 60°
  • z = 120°
  • y = 60°
  • u = 120°

\boxed{\tt{@MrMonarque}}
