Step-by-step explanation:

Here,

Total distance travelled = 22 km

Let the distance travelled by car be x. So,

Distance travelled by motorcycle = 22-x

Total time = 1hr

Let the time taken to travel by the car be y. So,

Time taken to travel by the motorcycle = 1-y

Speed of the car = 30 km/hr

Speed of the motorcycle = 18 km/h

Now, Speed = distance / time.

So, for the car

30=x/y

x=30y ...(1)

For the motorcycle,

18=(22-x)/(1-y)

Using equation (1)

18=(22-30y)/(1-y)

18(1-y)=22-30y

18-18y=22-30y

y-18y+30y=22-18

12y=4

y=4/12

y=0.33

Substitute y = 0.33 in equation (1)

x=30y

x=30(1/3)

x=10

Therefore, distance travelled by the car is 10 km.
