1. Sedimentary rocks are formed by repeated deposition of rocks particles that are worn away from mountains by winds and water.

The different types of sedimentary rocks are: Conglomerate. Sandstone.

2.Shale is a sedimentary rock, and slate is a metamorphic rock.

3. Magma is molten rocks found below the earth's surface. When magma comes out, it's lava.

4.The rocks formed by the solidification on the cooling of molten magma, are called igneous rocks.

6. Coal is a hard rock which can be burned as a solid fossil fuel.

It is a sedimentary rock formed from peat, by the pressure of rocks laid down later on top

7.Petroleum is a dark coloured,thick crude oil found deep below the ground in certain areas.

Used in: i) making gasoline

ii)also used to make vaseline, dyes, detergents, plastics etc
