Let the complementary angles be x, y

We know,

x + y = 90 \degree

A.T.Q.

x - y = 10 \degree

Hence adding the equations, we get

2x = 100 \degree \\ x = 50 \degree

Putting the value of x in 2nd equation,

y = 50 \degree - 10 \degree \\ y = 40 \degree
