In fig (I) ACED is a square with side 4 cm
Area of square = side × side
Area of ACED = 4 × 4 cm i.e. 16 cm
Now ABC is a triangle
height of triangle is 6 - 4 = 2
Area of triangle = 1/2 × base × height
AC is it's base = 4cm
Area of ABC = 1/2 × 4×2 = 4 cm
Total Area of figure (i) = Area of ACED + Area of ABC
= 16 cm + 4 cm
= 20 cm
The answer of question (ii) and (iii) I shall give it later by edit the answer ok
