Answer:

( a ) No. of boys in IX A = 32 boys

No. of girls in IX B = 24 girls

So ,

Ratio of no. of boys to no. of girls in IX A

= 32:24

= 32 / 24

= 4 : 3 .

( b ) No. of boys in IX B = 28 boys

No. of gils in IX B = 21 girls

So ,

Ratio of no. of boys to no. of girls in IX B

= 28:21

= 28 / 21

= 4 : 3 .

( c ) Total no. of boys in IX A & B = 32 + 28 boys

= 60 boys.

Total no. of girls in IX A & B = 24 + 21 girls

= 45 girls.

So ,

Ratio of total no. of boys in IX A & B to total no. of girls in IX A & B

= 60:45

= 60 / 45

= 4 : 3 .

By looking at the ratios , we notice that all the above ratios are same . Hence , the number of boys in each case in one time more than the number of girls .
