CBSE Class 9th Science Solved Practice Paper for summative Assessment-II. Solution:
(a) Atomicity of H2SO4 is seven.
(b) Atomicity of Na2CO3 is 6.
Q. What are angiosperms? Write its two characteristics.
Solution: Angiosperms comprises a group of the flowering plants that has the main characteristics of having flowers and produce seeds enclosed within a carpel.
Two characteristics of angiosperms are:
(i) The root system of the angiosperms is very complex and contains and contains the conductive tissues like cortex, phloem, xylem etc.
(ii) The reproductive organs are aggregated in their flowers

(b) If a fresh egg is put into a beaker filled with water, it sinks. But if you dissolve a lot of salt in water, the egg begins to rise and then starts floating. Why?
Solution:
(a) Buoyant force: The upward force acting on an object immersed in a liquid is called the buoyant force that increases with the increasing depth of the object in the liquid and density of the liquid.
(b) When a lot of salt is dissolved in water, then the density of salt solution becomes much higher than pure water. Due to its much higher density, the salt solution exerts a greater upward buoyant force on the egg making it rise and then float in water.
