Given:

☛ radius of circle, r = 5 m

☛ speed of body, s = 10 m/s

To Find:

☛ distance covered

☛ displacement when the body is at half of its journey

Solution:

Now,

==> Distance Covered = Circumference of the circle / 2

==> d = 2πr / 2

==> d = 5π m

If we were given, π = 3.14

Then,

==> Distance covered = 5 × 3.14

==> Distance covered will be

15.7 m

Also,

Displacement = Shortest distance between the initial point and final the final point

Body at half of its journey = Half of circumference

Then, Displacement will be :

==> Displacement = Diameter of circle

==> Displacement = 2 × radius

==> Displacement = 10 m

Given :

• A body starts to move in a circle of radius 5m

• Speed of the body is 10m/s

To Find :

• The Distance Covered

• The Displacement Covered

Solution :

Let's find the Distance Covered first :

Distance covered in one round = Circumference of the circle

We know that,

 \bigstar  \:  \boxed{ \sf \: Circumference_{circle} = 2\pi \: r}

Here, We've to find the Distance covered in half of the journey.

So, Distance = πr

 \longrightarrow \sf \dfrac{22}{7}  \times 5

 \longrightarrow \sf \:  \dfrac{22\times\: 5}{7}

 \longrightarrow \sf \cancel \dfrac{110}{7}

 \longrightarrow \sf  \red{15.71 \: m} \:  \:  \: (Approx)

\therefore Total Distance covered by the body is 15.71 m(Approx)

Let's find the Displacement Now :

We know that Displacement is the shortest distance between two points i.e. refrence point and destination with respect to time

Here Displacement in half of its journey will be :

→ Displacement = 2 × radius of the circle

→ Displacement = 2 × 5 m

→ Displacement = 10 m

\therefore Total Displacement in the half of the journey by the body is 10 m
