Given: base of the given parallelogram is twice the height.

Area of a parallelogram is given by the formula

Area = base×height

= bh

But b = 2h

Therefore, area = (2h)h

= 2h²

Since area has been already given to us as 288cm²

2h² = 288

h² = 144

h = 12cm

Therefore, b = 2h = 24cm

Hence the base is 24cm while the height is 12cm
