Muthulakshmi Reddy was an Indian social reformer and Padma Bhushan award recipient. She was professionally a medical practitioner.
Born on 30 July 1886, in Pudukkottai, she received her education from Madras Medical College and The Rajah's College pudukkottai.
She founded the Cancer Institute WIA organization, one of the biggest cancer institute in India. She was also appointed to the Madras Legislative Council in 1926.
She married Dr Sundera Reddi and had two sons. She died on 22 July 1968, in Chennai. She stil is considered as one of the most poweful feminists of India.
