Q) If the supplementary of an angle is 4 times of it's complement, the angle is ?

----------------------

Answer :-

a) 60°

---------------------

Explanation :-

Let the required angle be = x

We know that,

  • Supplementary angles are two angles whose sum is 180.
  • Complementary angles are two angles whose sum is 90.

--------------------

Therefore, According to question,

  • Supplement = 180 - x
  • Complement = 90 - x

--------------------

It is given that supplementary of an angle is 4 times of it's complement,

So,

= 180 - x = 4( 90 - x )

=  180 - x = 360 – 4x

= - x - 4x = 360 - 180

3x = 180

x = 180/3

x = 60
