☞ Let ‘w’ be the mass of metre scale acting a mid point 50cm .

Clockwise moments,

= 40 × (80 – 60)

= 40 × 20

= 800gfcm …….(i)

Anti-Clockwise moments,

= 5 × (60 – 10) + w × (60 – 50)

= (250 + 10 w)gfcm ……..(ii)

\large{\underline{\purple{Now,\:Anticlockwise\:moment\:=\:clock\:wise\:moment\:}}}

=> 250+ 10w = 800

=> 10w = 800 - 250

=> w = 550/10

\checkmark\:\sf{\underline{\blue{\boxed{\implies\:w\:=\:55\:gf.\:}}}}
