Therefore, according to pythagoras theorem,

PR² = PQ² + QR²

=> 13² = 12² + QR²

=> 169 = 144 + QR²

=> QR² = 169-144 = 25

=> QR = sqrt(25) = 5cm

Now, sinθ = opposite / hypotenuse = sinP = QR/PR = 5/13

Cosα = Adjacent / hypotenuse = QR / PR = 5/13

That also implies Cosα= 90-Sinθ
