In the olden days people use to wander to random place, they will cut down the forest and they will start to cultivate crops for many years once the fertility of the soil is reduced then they will move to new place and then they will repeat the same procedure. since they will be shifting from one place to another by doing agriculture its called as shifting agriculture.
