Dams are advantageous to some but may not be to all.Dams cause many problems:
During the construction of a dam many tribal residents are displaced from the area and are not given any alternative residential area.
A large number of trees are destroyed during the construction of a dam which leads to the destroy of habitat of many animals and birds.
Dams also restrict the natural flow of rivers and stagnates it.
The movement of aquatic life is restricted due to dams.
