Heya☺

Let the present age of father be x years and that of son be y years

Then,
According to question

x = y+28

3+ x = 5( y+3)

Substituting the value of x
3+ y+28 = 5y +15
31-15= 4y
4y =16
y =4 years

x = 4+28
x = 32years

Hence father's age is 32 while son's age is 4 years

✌✌Hope it helps u!

Let the age of man be x.

Let the age of his son be y.

Given that A man is 28 years older than his son.

x = y + 28  ---------- (1)

Given that In 3 years he will be 5 times as old as his son will then be.

x + 3 = 5(y + 3)

x + 3 = 5y + 15

y + 28 + 3 = 5y + 15

y + 31 = 5y + 15

y = 5y - 16

-4y = -16

y = 4.

Substitute y = 28 in (1), we get

x = y + 28

x = 4 + 28

x = 32.

Therefore the present age of the father is 32 years and his son is 4 years.

Verification:

x + 3 = 5(y + 3)

32 + 3 = 5(4 + 3)

35 = 5(7)

35 = 35.

Hope this helps!
