In the given figure, AB Perpendicular to BC, FG Perpendicular to BC and DE perpendicular to AC. Prove that triangle ADE is similar to triangle GCF.
In ΔABC and ΔGFC,
∠B = ∠E (90°.)
∠C = ∠C (Common.)
∴ ΔABC ~ ΔGFC (AA Criterion) ---(1)
Similarly in ΔABC and ΔAED,
∠B = ∠F (90°.)
∠A = ∠A (Common.)
∴ ΔABC ~ ΔAED ---(2)
From (1) and (2)
ΔADE ~ ΔGCF
