Step-by-step explanation:

cost if 1 = 9 grams

cost of 1200 = 9×1200=10800 grams

number of coins in 18kg bag = 18kg = 18000 grams ÷ 9

= 2000 coins

1. If a 5-rupee coin weighs 9 grams, find the weight of twelve hundred 5-rupee coins. Also, how many 5-rupee coins can you guess are there if the bag weighs 18 kg?

Weight of one 5-rupee coin = 9 g

We have to find the weight of --- 1200 coins

Weight of 1200 coins = Weight of one coin x 12000 coins

= 9 x 1200

= 10800 g

= 10.8 kg

Weight of bag containing 5-rupee coins = 18 kg

Weight of one coin = 9 g

\sf{No.\:of\:coins=\dfrac{Weight\:of\:total\:coins}{Weight\:of\:one\:coin}}

1 kg = 1000 g

So, 18 kg = 18000 g

\sf{No.\:of\:coins=\dfrac{18000}{9}}

\sf{No\:of\:coins=2000}

Hence, the no. of coins in the bag is 2000.

2. Ritu made an open cube from a sheet of paper with edge 5 cm. How many cubes of each 1 cm edge are needed to fill the big cube?

Volume of a cube = a³

Edge of the big cube = 5 cm

Volume of the big cube = 5³

Volume = 125 cm³

Edge of smaller cube = 1 cm

Volume = 1³ = 1 cm³

No. of small cubes that can be stored:

\sf{=\dfrac{Volume\:of\:bigger\:cube}{Volume\:of\:smaller\:cube}

\sf{\dfrac{125}{1}}

\sf{No.\:of\:cubes=125}

Therefore, the number of cubes that can be stored is 125.

3. Poorvi bought a pack full of juice. It's base is rectangle of dimensions 25.5 cm x 10 cm and its height is 35 cm. If Poorvi drinks 525 cu cm juice everyday, how many days will she take to empty the full packet? Is 525 cu cm same as 0.525 litres?

Length of the pack = 25.5 cm

Breadth of the pack = 10 cm

Height of the pack = 35 cm

Volume of the pack = lbh

= 25.5 x 10 x 35

= 8925 cu cm

Amount of juice she drinks a day = 525 cu cm

\sf{No.\:of\:days\:needed=\dfrac{Volume\:of\:juice}{Volume\:she\:drinks\:daily}}

\sf{No.\:of\:days\:needed=\dfrac{8925}{525}}

∴ The no. of days required is 17 days.

As 1 cu cm is equal to 0.001 litres,

525 cu cm is equal to 0.525 litres.
