ɢɪᴠᴇɴ :-

  • Mass (m) = 1000kg
  • Initial velocity (u) = 0 m/s --(At rest)
  • Distance travelled (s) = 300 m
  • Time taken (t) = 30 seconds

ᴛᴏ ғɪɴᴅ :-

  • Acceleration (a)
  • Force (F)

sᴏʟᴜᴛɪᴏɴ :-

On using 2nd equation of motion, we get,

s = ut + ½ at²

300 = 0 × 30 + 1/2 × a × (30)²

300 = 1/2 × a × 900

300 = 900a/2

300 = 450a

a = 300/450

a = 0.6m/s²

Hence,

  • Acceleration is 0.6m/s²

Now,

We know that,

Force (F) = Mass(m) × Acceleration(a)

F = m × a

F = 1000 × 0.6

F = 600 N

Hence,

  • Force acting on car is 600 N
