Given conditions ⇒

Distance = 400 m.

Time = 120 seconds.

Using the Formula,

  • Speed = Distance/Time.

∴ Speed = 400/120

∴ Speed = 10/3

⇒ Speed = 3.33 m/s.

We know that the Speed is the magnitude of the velocity, therefore the velocity of the Cyclist in North East Direction is 3.33  m/s.

Hope it helps.
