_________________________

⚫Mole fraction is a unit of concentration, defined to be equal to the number of moles of a component divided by the total number of moles of a solution.

⚫Because it is a ratio, mole fraction is a unitless expression.

⚫The mole fraction of all components of a solution, when added together, will equal 1.

Mole Fraction -

Mole fraction is the method which is used when the solution is constituted by mixing two or more component.

It is defined as the ratio of number of moles of one component to the total number of moles of the solution that is all the components.

Mole fraction of solule = n B / nA + nB
Mole fraction of solvent = nA / nA + nB
