In ∆AOB

AL = BL(perpendicular from center to chord is bisect the chord)

=> AB = 2AL

=> AB = 2AL=> AB = 2×2.5

=> AB = 2AL=> AB = 2×2.5 => AB = 5cm

=> AB = 2AL=> AB = 2×2.5 => AB = 5cmnow..in ∆AOB and ∆COD

  • AO = DO (radius of same circle)
  • AO = DO (radius of same circle)ang.BOA = ang.DOC (vertically opposite angles)
  • AO = DO (radius of same circle)ang.BOA = ang.DOC (vertically opposite angles)BO = CO ( radius of same circle)

AO = DO (radius of same circle)ang.BOA = ang.DOC (vertically opposite angles)BO = CO ( radius of same circle)so ∆AOB congruent to ∆COD ( by SAS congruence property)

AO = DO (radius of same circle)ang.BOA = ang.DOC (vertically opposite angles)BO = CO ( radius of same circle)so ∆AOB congruent to ∆COD ( by SAS congruence property)so AB = CD ( by CPCT)

=> CD = 5cm

hope this will help you...☺️☺️☺️
