Ok so the question has a slight printing mistake where it shouldn't be -cosec^2 but +cosec^2
RHS = sec^2 © + cosec^2 © - 2
= sec^2 - 1 + cosec^2 - 1
= tan ^2 + cot ^2
= sin^2/cos^2 + cos^2/sin^2
= LHS
Hence proved.
