1.When we compare twoline segments of almost same lengths, we cannot be sure about the line segment of greater length. Therefore, it is not an appropriate method tocompare line segmentshaving a slight difference between their lengths. Therefore, this is thedisadvantage in comparing line segments by mere observation

2.a ruler and a divider can be used to measure the length of a line segment. But, it is better to use adivider for an accurate measure. The thickness of the ruler and the positioning of the eye may cause difficulties in reading the correct measure.
