here we can see that , there are no potential energies of cart .
hence,
change in kinetic energy of cart = work done by string in cart
= force exerted by string in cart × displacement of string along force .
= tension in string × displacement of string along force.

displacement of string along force( tension) = {(3√3)² + (3)²}½- {(4)² +(3)²}½
= 6 - 5
= 1 m

hence, change in kinetic energy = 50 × 1 = 50 J

Divyankasc: I thought that i need to findd out the rate of change of angle b/w the string and ground so as to find the tension along the cart at every moment .. But its not like that! Why didn't we find angle. oh is it because the string is straight while it attaches to the cart?? ^^"
