Let the age of Lynette=x years

Josh=(x+3) years

(Josh) +(Lynette)=49

x+3+x=49

2x+3=49

2x=49-3

2x=46

x=46/2

x=23

So, age of Lynette is 23 years

And, of Josh is (23+3)=26 years

Answer:

Okay pls wait............don't worry.......I knew this

answer

Step-by-step explanation:

let x be the age of Lynette

So,

3+x+x = 49

2x = 49 – 3

x = 46÷2

x = 23

So, we know that age of Lynette is x i.e 23

So age of Josh is 3 yrs more then Lynette i.e 3+x, 3+23

= 26

Therefore, Age of Josh = 26yrs

Lynette = 23yrs

& there sum of age is 49yrs(23+26)

Hope it helps..........you...
