Let r be the radius

we know angle at vertex of square is 90 degree

apply Pythagoras theorem

2(a^2) = 4 ( r^2 )

a = + √2

but side cannot be negative

a = √2

area = 2 × 2 = 2 sq units

note :- question is wrong here because many square possible inscribed in a circle but if we consider largest

square then this is answer.
