circumference= πd= 200m x π

time taken = 40sec.

it is given that the athelete completes one full round. hence the displacement ( difference between initial and final point) is 0

we know that

Speed=distance/time. ------------equation.1

speed = 200π / 40

=5π m/sec

time given= 2min 20 sec

= 140 seconds

by equation 1

5 m/sec= distance/ 140 sec

distance= 5π x 140

= 700π metres

the distance travelled by the athlete at the end of 2min 20 sec is 700π metres while the displacement is zero.
