Explanation:

USES OF METALS AND NON-METALS

Uses of some common metals and non-metals are as follows. Metals Iron is used for making automobiles, machinery, pipes, containers, nails, etc. Gold and silver are used for making jewellery. Copper is used for making electrical wires, cooking utensils, etc.

Alloys are, for example, generally harder than pure metals. They are made up of atoms of different sizes, rather than being uniform. This means that the layers of atoms cannot slide over each other easily, making the whole alloy much stronger than any of the pure metals that the alloy contains in isolation.

Cooking utensils are made up of metals because they are good conductors of heat and hence food can be easily cooked in them. Their handles are made up of plastic because plastic is poor conductor of heat due to which the handles do not get heated and we are able to hold the utensil with their help.

Cell, in biology, the basic membrane-bound unit that contains the fundamental molecules of life and of which all living things are composed. ... These cells cooperate with other specialized cells and become the building blocks of large multicellular organisms, such as humans and other animals

A plant cell contains a large, singular vacuole that is used for storage and maintaining the shape of the cell. In contrast, animal cells have many, smaller vacuoles. Plant cells have a cell wall, as well as a cell membrane. In plants, the cell wall surrounds the cell membrane.
