Answer:

perimeter of square = 4× side

7×4=28cm

given permitere of square = rectangle

let the length of rectangle be X

2(X+4)= 28cm

2x+8=28

2x=28-8=20

X=20/2

=10

length of rectangle= 10cm

area of rectangle= 10×7= 70 cm^2

hope this will help

Given :-

  • The perimeter of square X and rectangle Y are same
  • Side of square = 7cm
  • Breadth of rectangle = 4cm

To find :-

  • Length of rectangle Y
  • Area of rectangle Y

Solution :-

Perimeter of square = perimeter of rectangle

→ 4 × side = 2(length + breadth)

→ 4 × 7 = 2(length + 4)

→ 28 = 2(length + 4)

→ (length + 4) = 28/2

→ length = 14 - 4

→ length = 10cm

Hence,

  • Length of rectangle Y is 10cm

Now , area of rectangle

→ length × breadth

→ 10 × 4

→ 40cm²

Hence,

  • Area of rectangle Y is 40cm²
