To prove :∆ AFE & ∆ CBD congruent & AE = CD
Solution
AB = FC (given)
add BF
AB+BF = BF+FC
AF= BC .....(1)
In ∆ AFE & ∆ CBD
AF= CB..(1)
EF= BD ..(given)
angle AFE = angle CBD
by SAS Congruency rule
Hence , ∆ AFE congruent to ∆ CBD
AE = CD ( C.P.C.T)
angle AFE = angle CBD
