Ans : we have ,

2x - y = 1 ..................(i)

4x + 3y = 27 ............(ii)

multiplying 3 in equation (i) , we get

6x - 3y = 3 ................(iii)

adding equation (ii) and (iii) , we get

10x = 30

x = 3

substituting the value of x = 3 in equation (i) , we get

2(3) - y = 1

-y = 1 - 6

y = 5

hence , the value of x = 3 and y = 5.
