We know that,

"p(x)  divided by  (x - a)  leaves remainder  p(a)."

So, here,

p(x) = 2x⁴ + ax³ - 3a²x² + 6x

Hence, finding the remainder on dividing  p(x)  by  (x - a)  is the same as finding  p(a).

p(a) = 2(a)⁴ + a(a)³ - 3a²(a)² + 6(a)

p(a) = 2a⁴ + a⁴ - 3a⁴ + 6a

p(a) = 6a

Hence,  6a  is the remainder.
