Given
Length of rectangle =16m
breadth of rectangle=9m
Area = lxb
16x9=144m^2
The area of rectangle = area of square
144=a^2
A=12m
Now perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)
2(16+9)=2x25=50m
Amd perimeter of square=4a
4x12=48m
So rectangle's perimeter is greater than square
I.e. 50-48=2m
