sea breeze - in coastal areas , during daytime the land gets heated up faster than the sea , the air above it also gets heated up and expands which is called sea breeze .
land breeze - at night the land cools down faster than the sea. the air from the land rushes towards the sea. as the air above the sea water is warmer it expands and moves up causing low pressure in this area . the cooler air from the land rushes towards the sea therefore a cool breeze blows from the land to the sea during nightime which is called land breeze
