Given-

ABC = 74°, EDC = 38°, BCD = 36°

To Prove-

ED || AB

Proof-

Mark the point where BC and ED meet as G

In ∆GDC–

EDC + BCD + DGC = 180°. [Angle sum property]

38° + 36° + DGC = 180°

74° + DGC = 180°

DGC = 180° - 74°

DGC = 76°

Now, DGC + CGE = 180°. [Linear pair]

76° + CGE = 180°

CGE = 74°

CGE = ABC = 74°

Since, Alternate interior angles are equal

Therefore, ED || AB

Hence Proved.
