a) Berber festival of Brides :

Berber festival of brides is one of the best festival which is held annually in the town of Imilchil. The small town Imilchil is situated in Midelt Province of central Morocco, in the Atlas Mountains. This place represents a symbol of berber culture. It is also called as its festival, which is officially known as Betrothal Festival - the Souk Aam or Agdoud N'Oulmghenni. In Imilchil, the Berber festival of Brides is held in late September every year. In this festival, young boys and girls or some men and women come from different villages around Imilchil to find their husbands and wives.

The Berber festival of Brides in Imilchil was born from the legend of two young lovers, Tislet and Isli, who were from enemy Berber tribes. They lived in the Atlas on a trek of Morocco and were deeply in love. But their parents came to know ahout this, they adamantly refused to allow them to marry. The couple refused to live apart so they exchanged vows under the watchful eye of Allah before throwing themselves into two lakes near Imilchil that today bear their names. The act of these two lovers devastated all of the clans of the Berber tribes in the Ait Haddidou region and it prompted the parents in the villages to announce that they would allow the children to choose their own husbands and wives. so on this festival, the members of local tribes could marry each other. This is how, the Imilchil Marriage Festival was born and has become one of the most celebrated and famous Muslim festivals in the world.

b) Skeleton flower :

Skeleton flower, which is also known as Diphylleia grayi or White woodland blossom, is referred as the chameleon of the woods. It is because, this flower may look like just a pretty white flower at first glance or in dry condition. But when it rains and the flower gets wet, its petals turn from being an opaque white to almost transparent. Again, when the leaves dry out, they turn back to being white. The reasom behind fading of the color in the petals of skeleton flower when wet happens is that a loose cell structure present in this flower. When it rains and the rain-water fills in the cells of the petals. It turns the petals clear same as water.

Diphylleia grayi or Skeleton flower is group of small herbs in the family Berberidaceaeis. These flowers are sensitive to sunlight. It should be grown where protection from midday sun is complete.The growing conditions of an ideal skeleton flower are in partial to complete shade, humus rich soil and well drained, but moist, soil. A skeleton flower can grow to a height of 0.4 metres and up to one metre wide. It is native to the colder mountainous regions of Japan and China.

c) Black bat flower :

The Black bat flower, which is also known as devil flower and cat's whiskers, is a species of flowering plant in the yam family named Dioscoreaceae. The scientific name of this flower is Tacca chantrieri. The black bat flower is an unusual looking flower that mimic a bat in flight with ruffled wings and long hanging filaments. It rises up on long stems from the broad shiny leaves. Tacca chantrieri or Black bat flower can grow to the height of 36 inches. This flower is 12 inches wide and has 28 inches long filaments.

Black bat flower or Tacca chantrieri is native to Southeast Asia's tropical regions that include Southern China especially Yunnan Province, Malaysia and Thailand. This flower grows best in well-drained soil with good air circulation. It also prefer high humidity and need a lot of water. Black Bat flower plant can be said as a true shade lover which grows naturally in the damp and dark under-story of tropical rainforests. Black bat flower or Tacca chantrieri blooms from late spring to early autumn.
