Answer:

a=130°

b= 50°

Given that,

a-b=80° _ _ _ _ (1)

and, a+b =180°

=> b=180° - a _ _ _ (2)

On substituating equation (2)from equation (1),

a-180-a=80

=>a-a=180+80

=>2a= 260

=>a =260/2

=>a=130°

On substitute equation (1) to equation (2),

b=180° - 130°

=> b = 50°

Answer:

A=80 and B=100

Step-by-step explanation:

Solve them simultaneously. We already know that a+b=180 cos they're on a straight line. But now from the question, a+b=80 so we can just name them as separate equations and solve.

a+b=180(eqn 1)

a+b=80(eqn 2)

Now, from eqn 2, a=80-b can be fixed into eqn 1

This implies; 80-b=180

                     80-180=b

                    100=b

Now, we can fix (b=100) back in eqn 1

This implies; a+100=180

                    a=180-100

                    a=80

Hope you got it! All the best!
