Step-by-step explanation:

x/a + y/b=1

the equation having equal and positive intercept

x/a +y/a =1

x+y=a

the line passes through (3,2)

then

a=3+2

a=5.

x/5 +y/5=1 × by 5

x +y =5

I'm not sure check it once again.

Answer:

y=(-2/3)x +4

Step-by-step explanation:

y= mx+ c

(3,2) therefore we will take 3=x and y=2 to find c

our gradient will be y upon x so : 2/3= m [ note: we are not sure yet whether its a positive gradient or no]

now substitute them into the equation:

2=(2/3)(3) + c

2=2+ c

c= 0  , then x and y intercepts would be both (0,0)

now if we take m as a negative then:

2= (-2/3)(3) + c

2= -2 +c

c= 4   , so y=(-2/3)x +4

0= (-2/3)x+4       ,x=6

y int= (0,4)

x int ( 6,0)
