the amount to be paid monthly is 300
the total cost monthly is c
amount of calling for m minutes is m*1 =m

therefore,

m + 300 = c

Given :

Monthly rental of a cell phone , Rs 300 .

The usage cost per minute is Rs 1 .

To Find :

The monthly cost of the calling plan in the form of linear equation in two variables assume the monthly cost to be 'c' and the minutes of usage per month to be 'm'.

Solution :

It is given that cost per usage is Rs 1 .

So , cost of 'm' minutes is 1×m = Rs m .

Also , monthly rental of Rs 300 is necessary .

Therefore , the linear equation of cost is :

c=1\times m +300\\\\c=m+300

Hence , this is the required equation .
