please help me to explain the given verse
we sat grown quiet at the name of love;
We saw the last embers of daylight die,
And in the trembling blue- green of the sky
A moon, worn as if it had been a shell
Washed by time's waters as they rose ad fell
About the stars and broke in days and years

These lines are from poem Adam’s Curse by W.B. Yeats. In these lines the poet is describing how on an evening and a woman sat discussing various things such as poetry, house-hold chores, love, etc.; and when the turn to discuss ‘love’ came, they sat quietly. Soon the day began to ebb and twilight appeared on the horizon. Then in the darkening sky a moon emerged; it looked like a worn out shell that had been washed by the waters of time rising and falling and bringing in days and years with their ebb and flow since the beginning of time.

Explanation:

The notice of ""love"" appears to have quiet them down. We ask why. Maybe every one of them has their own sorrow to consider.

As they sit and think, the sun at last goes down. Yeats utilizes a likeness here to contrast the nightfall with the ""last embers"" of a fire wearing out.

The speaker portrays the sky as ""trembling blue-green."" It sounds pretty, yet by what method can a sky tremble?
