The compound X is ethanol, the compound Y is ethanoic acid and the compound Z is ethyl ethanoate.
This is because ethanol(c2h6o) reacts with k2cr2o7 to give ethanoic acid (ch3cooh) and ethanol reacts with ethanoic acid in presence of conc. h2so4 to give a sweet smelling substance /ester called ethyl ethanoate(ch3cooc2h5).
Hope it helps you.
